Evals for my team mates and 2 java programs and quizzes for e-learn. Both due before the 1st week of January ends. I planned to go to a coffee shop to finish at least half (I need to get away from distractions) but failed to do so. Why? BECAUSE OF DISTRACTIONS!
Woke up around noon, band hero, lunch, band hero, intarnets, band hero, took a bath so I could go already, tapos pag punta ko sa kuwarto ng kuya ko nanunuod sila ng star trek. Di na tuloy ako nakaalis.
GAH! Bukas talaga promise, at least 1/4 matapos ko na. Sana.
1. Go home, play band hero, tumambay sa kalsada (also finish the evaluation forms and e-learning assignments)
2. Surprise bday and despedida party for a friend
3. Watch frisbee then hang out with officemates afterwards.
I’m leaning towards #1, pero nahihiya ako hindi sumipot sa #2 (also, masarap magluto si tita) and #3 medyo ayoko kasi maiinggit lang ako sa kanila kasi naglalaro sila, but then ate chenai will go back to CDO next week.
Next year wala na to. Hehehe.
Sharing lang. Back in 1996, may monito-monita kami sa school (grade seven ako nun). Something Memorable ang theme. Effective naman ang binigay ng “Daddy” ko nun. I remember it until now. Casette tape ni April Boy Regino.
“Looks like action star and senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. wants to beat Hollywood movies to a pulp. If he had his way, the current onslaught of Hollywood movies in the Philippines would be reduced to one movie per month, reports Inquirer.net. “We should set limits, like what happened in South Korea.”
In the 1960s, Korea enacted the Motion Picture Law that “blocked free importation of foreign films” under the foreign film import quota system. It was meant as “a support measure for Korean films,” according to pages of Korean Cinema: From Origins to Renaissance posted on the Korean Film Council website.
However, Revilla added, “A lot of people would react negatively and I know it’s against the GATT [General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade].”
Revilla suggested the drastic proposition when asked a hypothetical question about Hollywood movies being shown during Christmas time, which is usually reserved for the Metro Manila Film Festival. “How else can we revive the local movie industry if we give up the holiday play dates? The rest of the year, Hollywood movies beat local productions at the box office.”
Revilla stars in one of the Metro Manila Film Festival entries this year, Ang Panday, which he also produced. “We have somehow perfected the use of special effects… We want to show the whole world that Filipinos can make films like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings,” Revilla told Manila Bulletin.”
I don’t think limiting Hollywood films would revive the local movie industry. Making films that are actually worth seeing would revive the local movie industry, and we don’t even need to make Hollywood-like films (they’re a gazillion miles away ahead of us, for Christ’s sake!) If only we can have year round of Indie Films… at least most of those are worth something. Let’s get the fundamentals right and build on that shall we?
I once performed front act (with psych0sis) for Sandwich & Mojofly (when they were still with Kitchie Nadal) back in High School.
That’s about 8 years ago.
Was it Mojofly? Alam ko Kamikazee. Diba nga yung drum sticks ni Crizza yung ginamit nila tapos tinago ni Crizza yun?
Mojofly ata played with P.O.T. Sa may quad yun. Yung tumugtog tayo sa covered court diba?
Pero shucks, miss ko na tumugtog. Di ako makatapos ng kanta ngayon :(
I really cannot remember who the bands were but I remember staring at Kitchie while she was singing in the covered court stage. She was so pretty. And I don’t remember Kamikazee. Our memories failed us both. :|
It was you know inspired me to learn playing the guitar coz back in first year I envied you guys & I tried borrowing the guitar but you were hogging it. You were great back then. It still makes me smile whenever I remember the stuff we did, when we composed & recorded this song we submitted for ABS-CBN’s HIMIG HANDOG. I kept a poster of it but threw it away, I think last year, coz it was already sooo dusty.
Sige na tugtog uli! :D
Lol at Hogging it. Well di hamak na mas talented ka sa ken. Also mas magaling ka na ngayon. Pati si Sinclair na ako ren nagturo dati, mas magaling na ren. Yun na lang pinanghahawakan ko. *lol* Pagpatuloy mo yan Babie, I’m really really glad you’re playing again :)
